It takes a while, doesn't it?
I've been back since Friday evening, but I'm still waking up in the middle of the night and looking f0r my bed by 9pm. Another couple of days and I'll be back to normal.
Three whole weeks in England in June visiting cousins, cousin's children, cousin's grandchildren, in-laws, out-laws, what a joy.
Twisty narrow country lanes, walled gardens full of fragrant roses, fish'n'chips (sadly no longer wrapped in newspaper, health and safety won't allow it), BBC TV with NO ADS, small children in school uniforms, double decker buses... ah! Lovely.
Oh I hope you took LOTS and LOTS of pictures to share with us!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Back!!!
Welcome home!! The jet-lag does take a while. Can't wait to see your memory shots . Rest well...see you soon.
ReplyDeletePictures to post of said visit??

"Back" to normal?? Well, that's a relative term, isn't it? Anyway, I'm glad to hear you had a good time, and especially glad you've returned.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home. I was wondering when you would be back. I look forward to hearing about your trip.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home ex-S. I'm looking forward to your wonderful photos. And you probably only have 3,000 .. 4,000 blogs to catch up on.. 5,000 tops! ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're home safe and sound and almost-rested.
Mmm! Fish'n'Chips and double decker buses! Great memories. But Mrs. Nesbitt says it was too windy to get to my village (Flamborough) on the back of her motor bike - that's pretty windy, but I know the weather there! And we're complaining of the heat here!
ReplyDeletewelcome back!! and i've come to enjoy jetlag...it softens the culture shock when i come back from a wonderful vacation to everyday life (job, traffic, bills). instead of getting right on the treadmill, i can sleep a bit more...and dream. this time i dreamt six nights running that i was still in italy!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I've been wondering when you'd get back to this side of the Atlantic. Sounds like you had a great time with your family...but where are the photos? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. If I'd known you were in MK we could have met up, but you were probably busy with relatives. Can you believe I've never yet been to Bletchley Park, must put it on my list of things to do. I hope you had a lovely time, and look forward to seeing pictures hopefully.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! It's good to have you blogging again :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a wonderful trip and I can't wait to read the details. Funny, though... I always experience the jetlag worse when I fly to Europe from Canada.
I'm glad you're back. I'm looking forward to seeing the pics!!
