Breugel-Boche Bus

The Bruegel-Boche Bus.... an amazing mindboggling piece of art displayed in it's own room at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Ontario.  The artist started with an old 1960 VW bus, just like the one I had many years ago, and started elaborating on it.  He started in 1996 and the construction is still continuing.

It's a marveroolus (love that new word, I just made it up by accident) piece of imagination. The bus appears to pull a post-industrial universe displaying a cornucopia of fantastic and seductive worlds, and I wonder if it will ever be finished!

More photos to come......

Train Talk

Santa delivered a train table to Isaac's house for Christmas.
Callum (who loves to tell everyone what to do and how to play with toys): Don't forget when you are driving a train you have a daily duty to load and unload the train, it's your daily duty. Everyone has a daily duty!
Isaac (who doesn't want to be told what to do by his cousin): Sorry, today is my day off!

D is for Doll

This lovely antique Doll was offered for sale at an auction I went to last week. She sold for $55.00. But not to me.

She looked a bit bedraggled, as if nobody had cared for her for quite a while. Her hair needed combing and her dress could do with a wash and a few stitches. I wondered what her name was, and who was the little girl who had loved her.

She has such a sweet expression on her face. I hope she went to a good home.
