Double Trouble!

They're here!

I've known they were coming for a long time, and finally they have arrived.

One of the blue variety, and one of the pink variety, a baby brother and sister for Isaac and new baby cousins for Callum.

Introducing Max. He arrived on Saturday at 11:40 in the morning, weighing 6lb 14 oz, and measuring 52cm.

His sister Emma arrived ten minutes later, at 11:50 in the morning, weighing in at 6lb 9oz, and measuring 49cm.

Max and Emma were at home with mummy and daddy (YoungerSon and The Bride) by 3:30 the same afternoon.

There was quite a reception there to greet them.... Nana (that's me), big brother Isaac, OlderSon and The Equestrienne and big cousin Callum, and The Bride's mom (Grandma), dad (Poppa) and sister (Auntie J).

These pictures were taken when Emma and Max were only 6 hours old.

    Boy, they sure don't stay in hospital very long these days. Well, I guess that means everyone is healthy and well. And they look healthy too.

    How wonderful for y’all ! Such lovely twins. I love their little lips, so well formed. That was a fast delivery and home going. My daughter had her son on Wednesday 13th July and did not go home until Saturday 16th (but it was a CS.) I guess you can see it both ways, as double trouble but for sure as double fun. Congratulations to you and your family and warm wishes to the parents and the twins.

    Thank you for telling me about this happy happening! I got tears into my eyes, when I saw those little ones. how they can be so good looking already like one month old ! And so soon at home, it is amazing.

    Congratulations Shammie. Wow, twins...wonderful.
    They were really heavy for twins. I thought ouch, poor Mama.
    My goodness they sure didn't stay long in the hospital. Wonderful there was so much family there to greet them.
