Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

White on White
We've woken up to a lot of that white stuff recently, and when the snow removal truck clears the road, there's just nowhere to put the snow.... so it gets piled up in front of my house. Perfect for pretending I live near Mount Everest.
All this cold winter weather can be rather tiresome, so I decided I needed a boost of Springtime.
A $6 bunch of tulips from the supermarket did the job. Now I feel like Spring might be getting closer.... and it's March tomorrow!
Wow that is a lot of snow, we've not had any here on the north Wales coast this winter. Today is the start of meteorological Spring here in the UK and we do need cheering up.
Oh I love your tulips...I think they are one of my favorite flowers. Yikes, that's a lot of snow being piled in front of your home. That's too much of the white stuff for me... It's suppose to be in the high 60's F. today..Perfect for me. Sue
So what has become of these piles of snow now? White tulips inside with falling snow outside is a beautiful scene. We had no snow despite much colder winter than usual. Wish you spring soon.
We need reminders of spring around here too.

ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow you got there. Tulips will cheer up lots of people during the winter, they are very pretty.

Flowers against the blizzard seem like a good idea.
ReplyDeleteIt was five degrees here yesterday and there was a noticeable amount of melting. That's the tonic we need!
ReplyDeleteOooooo a sign of Spring!
DeleteSnow here gets carted away to snow dumps. Usually in time for the next storm.

DeleteI big yellow digger came a few days ago and took most of it away.

Spring is getting closer. We now have snowdrops in the backyard. Yippe! Yesterday it got up to nineteen degrees here in Waterloo.
ReplyDeleteAt least you get a snow removal truck, here in the UK if it snows you just live with it until it thaws out!
ReplyDeleteIt was t-shirt weather here in the UK today, we've had a beautiful sunny week.
