I hardly ever get to go to big bad Downtown Toronto any more, and I certainly NEVER drive there. I can take a bus or train very cheaply and with far less mental stress. But it's good to have a wander around the city once in a while.... so that's what I did when I went to see SIX - The Musical. Too bad it was such a grey day.
Big cities are wonderful places to visit alright. I can only imagine driving into that city these days. You took the relaxing way there!
ReplyDeleteDriving in the downtown area is so busy and my main worry is finding a reasonably priced place to park, so bus/train/subway is the best option.
DeleteBig cities are dying which is sad. I actually think the gray day enhanced your photos, especially the splash of trolly red.

I haven't been in a big city for a very long time. Our town has 800 people. I can't imagine driving in a city like Toronto but I wouldn't mind walking around. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLived in Toronto in 1969. My brother drove TTC handicap bus until he retired in 2010. I too would take the metro rather than drive
ReplyDeleteI was last there before Covid.
ReplyDeleteBefore I retired I was in Toronto most days for at least part of the day. Now I never go there and maybe never will again! Most large cities are characterized for me by noise, pollution and crowds of people, none of which I am fond of!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I only ever go there for a significant event, usually a theatre visit. And I always travel by bus and train and subway.
