Another image from the Altered Board Book.
My collection of fancy paper napkins is far too large, but so useful when looking for images to use. The zebras and the lizards are napkin animals released from their paper jungle.... did you know that all paper napkins (or serviettes if you prefer) consist of three layers of very thin paper that have to be separated before using the image in a collage?
I'm not sure where the teapot came from, but the background is a print of maple leaves on rice paper. The zebras look quite puzzled, they are wondering where the teapot came from too.
Love the image. You’re so right about the zebras.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about the napkins but the zebras are great. I like how the picture came out.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your collection of paper napkins. You create such wonderful designs. Hmmm, wonder where the teapot came from too.. (:0)

Fantastic image, I like it.
ReplyDeleteThey are little works of art. Very pleasing to the eye. I did not know how they were assembled. Next time I am dabbing my mouth at a reception I will be sure to expound on it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creation!
ReplyDeleteI can see that questioning look on the zebra's faces. "How did that get here" they seem to be saying.
ReplyDeleteI knew that about the napkins. In our house, I have a napkin and JG has a serviette, although I think napkin is more common in the USA, and I picked up the American word as a child.
ReplyDeleteLove the faces on the zebras. They are confused because they want their tea under a baobab tree, and there they are in North America with a maple.
Now that's a fun tea party! So creative.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Much too lovely to use as an actual napkin!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. My wife is always buying pretty napkins. We have an abundant supply.
