Another one from the Altered Board Book.
A map of.... where? Looks like a busy place with all those vehicles heading across town. Streets printed on rice paper using string from paper potato bags. The cars were cut from the CAA magazine that comes in my mailbox. Sort of like the AAA but further north.
Love it! Recycling the string from potato bags is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteOntario potatoes, sorry, not the ones from P.E.I.
DeleteYour creative art is amazing. Brilliant.

That came out cute.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that you could get that many simple silhouettes from the CAA mag. I do love what you are doing with the art here. Potato string bags? Hmm. I must be buying mine in the wrong place.
ReplyDeleteThe string comes from the sewing along the top of the paper bags that contain 10lb of potatoes. Grab the right end and it unravels easily. Grab the wrong end and you have a tight knot.
DeleteVery creative, I love it.
ReplyDeleteCool art work. We just bought 20 lb potatoes but they came in a plastic bag. No string. Our apples too came in a plastic bag as did our grapes. And our bread. Too much plastic
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I am so impressed.
