Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve in The Great White North.... and soon I'll be heading to OlderSon and The Equestrienne's country estate to wait for the arrival of Santa Claus with Callum. I wonder if we'll hear those sleighbells ringing in the night? My dad always went outside to listen on Christmas Eve, and when he came in he always said he heard bells jingling in the distance. I could never hear them, no matter how hard I tried, and the fact that he could hear them was amazing to me, as he actually was deaf as a post!

So I'm taking this opportunity to wish all my blog friends a Happy Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, whatever you celebrate, may you enjoy the good company of friends and family, and may 2010 be good to you!

P.S. this is post 399.... I'd better make the next one a good one!

  5. Shammy, it's kind of like the connection that children have with God. Only they understand what the rest of us mere mortals can only imagine. May we all live long enought to enjoy that special kind of relationship......imagined or otherwise. Here is wishing you and your family all the very best that Christmas has to offer. Good friends, happy families, great food and Serenity for your soul. Merry Christmas Shammy and all the very best of the season.

  13. Hi Shammi - haven't been here for a while, but I saw you on Bob's blog and thought it was about time I dropped in to see what you are up to! Getting ready for the Olympics in your own country is indeed an exciting time. I vaguely remember the Summer Olympics in Melbourne in 1956 (I was only 8 years old), but more recently (well, 10 years ago!) again in Sydney.
Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas, and best wishes for The New Year :-)

  14. Dearest Shammy! Happy Christmas, or belated Christmas, but still heartfelt all the same! You are on my mind and I'm sure you had a good time at OlderSon's warm and welcoming home.
    Hugs from afar!

  15. Hello Fenella!
Finally I have time to visit blogs of my friends after this traveling autumn.
Yesterday evening we came home driving in the snow storm, happily fortunately!
Melli`s little brother got a name Mikael and he is doing well even he has troubles in his heart.
I hope, your Christmas was good and Callum was not afraid of Santa.

I wish very happy New Year to you, Fenella and your family!
