What I've Been Up To

I haven't been a very good blogger over the past couple of months.
And I have a really good excuse.
I've been house hunting. I've looked at big, small, old, new, detached, semi-detached, town houses, condos.
But I've finally got myself a new home and I move in a couple of weeks.
So now I'm doing this.

And this.

And since I last posted, this happened. Yes, I had a birthday. A significant one too. I can't imagine how I got to be this old (not telling just HOW old) but it's better than the alternative!

So the whole family got together and we went for a birthday dinner at the Mandarin Chinese Buffet. Mmmm... buffet style Chinese food, and if that doesn't suit you, there's pizza, or roast beef, or spare ribs or sushi.... I love the baked salmon and the spicy shrimp, and the hot and sour soup, and the mango salad... it's all so good!
And then home for a cuppa and fancy birthday cupcakes.
And finally both my grandboys. It's hard to get a picture of them both at the same time, they move so fast.

We've had a couple of new family additions in UK recently. William (baby brother to Oliver) arrived 4 weeks ago and baby Charlie arrived last week, cousins to each other and new second cousins for Callum and Isaac. That makes 5 little boys born in the last 3 years in our family.
And in The Bride's family there are 4 more little boys all under 4 years old.
We're aiming for our very own football team!

The cupcakes look scrumptious and those kidlets even more delicious than that. Congrats on the new additions.

Those cupcakes look very yummy. Happy belated birthday. Moving… what a job. You will have to tell us what type of lodging you selected. Those two little boys are really sweet looking – like little angels.

Happy b'day, Rookie! I'll have one of the cupcakes with the berries.

Good luck unpacking and settling. See, now you have lots to blog about. You can do a box-a-day series of photos. The possibilities are endless!

good luck with the move.

The church supper was in Rosemont, just outside of Alliston.

I do believe you are heading for a football team...LOL

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sham. Any birthday that ends in a 0 or a 5 has to be a milestone celebration, So whichever one it is, CONGRATULATIONS. Yes, always better than the alternative. I wish you much success in your move. Get help when you can is my only advice!

Those boys are charmers!

Hi,
Happy Birthday !!
I don't envy your move ... packing boxes is not my favorite thing to do, and we have done it enough!
Very best wishes and good luck with the move!

So, you're thirty. Big deal.

I don't envy you having to pack up, though. I've been blessed enough to only have had to do so twice in my entire life, but that's more than enough to last me, thanks. Although, if there were a Chinese buffet awaiting me as reward...

that is a lot of little boys....and aren't they such a cute bunch?! and I think any age we get to without being 6 feet under is a good one!
Happy Belated Birthday and are you going to post your new digs?

Happy birthday to a kind, dear soul. You are a blessing to lots of people; may that joy return to you and keep you singing (or dancing).

You are amazing. Every time I think about packing up my house in order to sell it, I lie down until the feeling passes over. I'm so glad you've found a new place.

Real estate is so bad here in Florida now, I hate to even think what I'd have to sell my house for.

I hope you had a happy birthday. They do keep coming, don't they, but as you said, when you consider the alternative...
