Whenever I feel some kitchen creativity coming on, I look at this blog. Such yummy things to make, but often quite complicated so I immediately decide that I don't have all the ingredients, and go off and do something else until the creative urge subsides.
But today, the recipe is Vanilla Bean Pudding! What could be more simple? Yes, I know I could buy a Vanilla Pudding mix at the grocery store, and it would probably taste great, but this is home made....
.... and it tastes BETTER than the packet suff. Much better in fact.
But I admit I made these using vanilla extract, but next time.... watch out taste buds, vanilla beans are at the top of my shopping list.
Ummm, yummm, I love pudding and especially homemade. Reminds me of my Mom.
ReplyDeleteCooking and I aren't the best of friends. I would rather look at cookbooks than use them. (:0}
yum yum yum!! Do you eat it warm too? On the very very rare occasions that I make pudding on the stove, we'll eat the 1st serving warm. It's been years. Maybe today is a warm pudding day? Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThis would go great with Oreo cookie bits on top. :)
ReplyDeleteYou and my Michigan sister are like two peas in a pod, Sham...making things from scratch. Too bad we all can't test the pudding to make sure you did it just right. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yum.. it makes me want to lick the spoon!
ReplyDeleteHey, almost a neighbour, thanks for visiting my blog, and for sharing delicious ideas. I wish I was a better cook and I'd try it out.
ReplyDeleteIt has been much too long since I have had pudding. Yummmm...
ReplyDeleteThis pudding looks and sounds very tasty. There are several cooking blogs I read and they have so many good recipes on them, and I have copied several. For two people though I don’t do elaborate cooking, but once in a while it is nice to try something new. I’ll try that this pudding.
ReplyDeleteWell, it loks authentic to me, my dear...Extract or not! LOL!
