Open Wide!

A visit to the dentist is never scary when Doctor Bob's in charge.

  1. Times have changed, for the better I might add. My first dental visit involved drilling without freezing.

  2. Oh yeah, I remember those horrible dentist visits, way back when I was a kid.
Today, it's much better and Dr. Bob looks like a nice guy.

Yes, I'm back from Florida - I posted when I returned. Don't do anything on the computer while I'm at the beach. :-)

    Keep warm!

  3. Hopefully today's kids won't grow up with the fear of dentists that previous generations did!

  6. My kids were so much more blasé about their childhood dental visits than their dad or I. Cute pics, Grammie Shammie. ;)

  7. Is that a mirror or a light? It looks like a hand-held mirror, but if it is, I don't see the original light source.

I chuckled a bit when I noticed that you posted a dental visit immediately after a hockey theme. I hope these little guys get to play AND keep their pearly-whites.

  8. I have always been lucky with my dentists, but you hear so many (Little Shop of) horror stories...

  9. I am sixty eight years of age, but still remember the school dentist. Drilling right in to the nerve then filling the tooth – all with no anaesthetic. Ouch!

  10. I always put Torture Chamber and Dentist in the same sentence.
Wish they had the machinery and philosophy then that they do now.
I notice the dentist is in street clothes...less scary for the kids.

  11. My kid's dentist is really nice and is great with them! My ten-year old son actually enjoys going to the dentist because he gets a piece of sugar-free candy. But my thirteen-year old daughter still hates going to the dentist. I have to remind her each time how important it is to get your teeth checked.
