Leonard Cohen
No words, just my tribute to a beloved novelist, poet, songwriter, recording artist, performer and above all a great Canadian.
Sorry Leonard, I know it's not the best likeness.
He was my mentor, so to speak. My own poetry is not his fault, but my poetic efforts derived his work (most of which I own). His songs had the ability to reach deep down inside and pluck whatever heart strings we have. He will be dearly missed, and your tribute is wonderful and I hope he's on some cloud somewhere with pen and guitar in hand working away.
I still have Songs From A Room on vinyl. Although you may not have created a perfect physical likeness you've caught the essence of the man, which is the important thing.
It's a wonderful likeness Shammi, and a lovely tribute! P.s. no beer from the golden tap outside the window in my shot yesterday, just ice cold water to fill the jugs 😊
Nice tribute to Leonard Cohen. I checked him on the Internet as I didn’t know him, either, and found your drawing depicted him nice, especially the one wearing hat. There’s something sad and lonely about losing celebrities with who we have shared the same period of the time.
Beautiful tribute to the GREAT LEONARD COHEN! He is my songwriter, singer, poet, etc that I LOVE the most! I really think that he shoud have been the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature this year! I have no doubt!
I'm embarrassed to say this, especially as I'm a dj, but the only song I know by Leonard Cohen is Hallelujah. Nice tribute.
