R.I.P. JoJo

A sad day for the family. Goodbye to fluffy little JoJo. She came to live at OlderSon's house in 2001, a tiny feral kitten found starving in a barn. She never really warmed up to being with people, and spent most of her time happily hiding in the basement. She started venturing upstairs a couple of years ago and eventually seemed to enjoy tolerate being petted, especially if the person doing the petting had some fishy cat treats on hand. JoJo, you will be missed.

  1. Oh, I'm sorry Shammie.
The fur babies leave such an empty place in our hearts.
I'm afraid our Granddogger will be crossing the rainbow bridge pretty soon too.
    Puts an ache in me.

  2. I’m glad she came around a little towards the end. Ours has made progress. I got about 10 minutes of lap time this morning as I was playing Sudoku.

  4. I am so very sorry. They wind their paws deep into our heartstrings and take a piece of us with them when they leave.

  5. Oh Jo Jo looked so sweet. I feel so sad for feral cats, by the time they wander into the garden of someone who is happy to give them affection they've experienced too much to really relax and enjoy it. Have been there many times and right now too. They steal our hearts though and I know you will miss her Shammi, big hugs xoxo

  7. Thank you to everyone for your kind comments. JoJo lived with OlderSon and his family for 18 years, a good age for a little kitty! BadgerDog will be wondering where his little friend has gone.
