Art Behind the Story

The current Covid-19 situation has caused so many people to abandon the daily commute to the office and work from home. This includes the so-called "experts" and journalists and interviewees who have been appearing on our TV screens to keep us up to date with what's going on around the world.
Often, whatever is hanging on the wall behind them is more interesting to me than what is being said. I'm getting an unauthorised peek into people's private homes and offices.
I don't know who all these people are, but they own some interesting art! I wish I could see the whole piece.

I don't remember who the last chappie is, but he certainly loves cars! And he plays golf.

And also..... HAPPY EASTER!

  1. Yes, I've noticed that on TV broadcasts as well...the weather people especially are at home now. Somehow most of our news broadcasts are still from their studios. I've taken to capturing a screen shot (most days) when they post the latest figures of Covid-19 cases nation-wide. I want to see when the numbers start to fall. Maybe next week...

    1. Our news broadcasts are from the studio.... desks of the two news anchors are at least 6' apart!

    2. Hello, I am Theresa Williams After being in relationship with Anderson for years, he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to my friend and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem. His email: {drogunduspellcaster@gmail.com} you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or any other Case.

    1. I just like to be nosey and look inside other people's houses!

  3. I think they should all stop blathering their inexpert opinions and just give us virtual tours of their homes. That would tell us more about them. And it would be interesting. I want close-ups of bookcases particularly.

    1. Great idea! Virtual tours of homes sounds like something I'd be interested in.

  4. Oooh. There are some pieces here I would love to see without the expert in front. I think the one behind Aaron Saltman is the one I am most drawn too.
I am so grateful that your artists eye captured this - and will check our own screens more fully.

    1. Yes, I wish we could see the whole piece of art. And learn the artist's name too.

  6. I had to laugh because I do exactly the same thing! So many times the background is much more interesting than the person speaking. I love looking at the decor behind these people, as it often says so much about their true self.
    Keep smiling, Mxx

    1. I think I am spending far too much time in front of various electronic screens. My eyes are starting to go square.

  8. Oh good I thought it was just me who gets sidetracked by art Shammi 😉 I do really like the abstract behind Aaron Saltzman, pretty cool 💛

  9. Yes, the background is more interesting than the person reporting. My wife and I talked about that. :)

  10. Guess what... I just got a comment from the boomer-hater guy. As I hadn't had one yet, I thought he had forgotten me, but no. Anyway, I've deleted him. Bye bye boomer-hater.
Anyone else had the same comment?

    1. Of course - though not for a while. I am not even certain how he identifies boomers or whether it is just a random hate filled spray.

    2. I was starting to feel a bit left out. So glad I wasn't forgotten!

  11. The one behind Aaron Saltzman, CBS News looks like it was done by Hugh Lifson but it is unlikely.

    1. I was intrigued by your comment about Hugh Lifson so I emailed Aaron Saltzman to ask.... he replied that it's not Lifson, and he doesn't know the name of the artist. His wife bought it more than ten years ago and can't recall the name.

      Sorry!

    Good backgrounds for their chats.

  14. I am not interested in what they say, how they have at home, I am interested in returning to normalcy. Now it is difficult to live, there are still fears and lack of motivation for any actions. I have so. My hip is fine. It's nice that you are here and you remember about me. Regards.

    1. Hello Giga! I agree, returning to normal is what we all want, but I think that life will not be quite the same for a long time. Good news about your hip!

  15. It has been very interesting to get a glimpse into reporters' homes during their reports from home. We always try to see who has books, and strain for a glimpse at the titles, usually without success. Stay well.
