Tessa

She was called Tess, Tessie, Tessington, TessaDog, Doodle Treasure and The Dog. But her real name was Tessa.

Claims to fame: Therapy dog reject (too bouncy). Loved to wallow in the mud. Awesome swimmer. Relentless ball chaser, and always brought it back for another throw. Sandwich stealer. Cat chaser. Sock thief. Horsey poo lover. Rolled in stinky dead things no matter how miniscule. Cutest golden doodle ever. She loved us and we loved her. She is missed.

  1. I am sorry. They make a home in our hearts and take a piece of us with them when they leave.

    1. Haha... run free.... exactly what she loved to do, and then refused to come back no matter how much you called her.

    1. She was part of the family for 14-1/2 years.... older than all the kids.

    1. Such a bad doggie, always in some sort of trouble, tracking mud on Ms S's clean floor, spilling her water, eating chicken poo.... but we couldn't help forgiving her when she looked up at us with those big brown eyes!

  7. What a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to your late family Tessa. No words to heal you for the time being, but remember she is a child of wind running freely, so whenever you think of her, she is close to you, though invisible. Your sadness reminded me of my Lynn and the time she left this world.

    1. Best doggie ever! Yes, Tessa is missed. She is resting in a quiet corner of the top field, up by the fallen tree. Tessa's Corner Forever. Wild flower seeds scattered on the grave. I hope some of them grow.

  11. I've cried more for lost dogs than lost family members. Doesn't mean I was not devastated by family loss but that dogs give such love and ask for so little
