Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

Early snow
The first snows came early to the forest this year.....
....before the wind had blown all the leaves from the beech trees.
Tks indeed for yr visit to R u T. I agree 100% with your remarks on plastic bags. Our gvmnt has gone all weak at knees over banning them. If Ireland can do it and Germany can do it, why is it "politically difficult" for UK? "The population wld get upset"....rubbish!!!!!!!!!
I have yet to see snow over this town.. I see it on the hill top in the distance.. but alas none here to capture on camera just yet. I loved the car post.. so much to catch up on. Thank you for your concern while I'be been ill.. I'm getting back to blogging again now so I'll be back soon
Hey snow! We are having really hard frosts at the moment and it isn't meant to go above zero tomorrow, but that is nothing compared to your wonderful Canadian winters! Keep warm, Love Lorenzo.
Hello everyone! Wonderful Canadian winters??? Well, it's -10C right now, that's 14F, pretty chilly! And we have a severe storm warning saying that tomorrow (Sunday) all roads will probably be impassable with up to 30cm of snow, and high winds. Good thing I just bought 2 new snow shovels. I'll post some pics!
Oh, bother....we have no leaves/needles and lots of snow....2 feet already, over a foot overnight and more to come in a severe weather warning....for sure it looks like winter and a white Christmas, New Year, Valenitne's Day, St. Patricks Day and probably Easter and Mother's Day at this rate.
TWO new showshovels? His and hers? Hers and hers, also? Right-handed and left-handed? Weekday and weekend? Home and visitors? Light-and-fluffy and heavy-and-packed? Two for the price of one? "We're not in Florida any more, Dorothy" and "Winter is here, and the sensible person hires two kids to shovel"? Ralph Lauren and Martha Stewart? The mind reels on with the possibilities....
Soft and fluffy snow, the good stuff.
ReplyDeleteAwww. I miss snow! I hope we get a few flakes for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSnow - oh yeah, it´s winter... hard to realize when south of Capricorn.
ReplyDeleteBtw: You want to know everything. OK.
We did it - but no babies to come. *giggles*
