Self Portraits
Art Camp Kids created their own self portraits.... on display in a Main Street window.
What fun. My girls did a self portrait in school which was then transferred to a tea towel for parent to buy. It was great fun and I have never used it!
What a very FUN display this is...! A wonderful idea and beautifully presented! Now, I am unable tp see your 'vague' shadow....(lol)! But I thank you for taking that picture! It is a Charming Display!
What fun! Isn't it interesting to see how kids see themselves? Or if they draw their family, who is the largest person? Who is the smallest? What position does the child take. I love kids drawings. And - yes, I see you reflected in the glass. Wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't tell.
Wonderful portraits and after a while Callum starts to paint portraits from you :) Melli can talk many words now and she sends special greetings to you and Callum!
You find the most interesting places around your town.
ReplyDeleteThat's fun stuff. It's given me an idea for a blog post, actually. Sometime this week; maybe today.

ReplyDeleteOver from Sully's!! Are you doing his post thingy?
ReplyDeleteIs this ever cute! Somebody is doing wonderful things with the kids in your town. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCompiling all the portraits makes a great display. Nice photo too.
ReplyDeleteWhen my kids were younger, I requested that a friend ask them to draw a picture of their family. Then I tried to psychoanalyze their projects.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, they did not think their dad was a monster. (whew!)
Interesting how kids see themselves...i made the pic bigger. my youngest son drew himself with no torso in most self portraits.
ReplyDeleteThat brings back memories of when my kids did that.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have seen the walking tours brochures. They used to have guided walking tours based on them during the Strawberry Festival weekend.

I think I vaguely found you. It was fun seeing the kids interpetations of themselves.
ReplyDeleteInteresting post.

Dennis likes the kids and their drawings.
ReplyDeleteThere will be a few future artist coming from there, I'm sure. What a great idea! Do you know how old/in which grade the kids are?
ReplyDeleteCool art project for the kids! And they actually looked good.
