  3. My wife loves those. I could totally see us out there with our neighbors, and home made iced tea.

  5. I imagine sitting or standing on that verandah with a tall glass of ice tea on a summer afternoon watching the people on Main Street.

  7. Call me picky but I'd say that's a porch and this would be a verandah.

  8. My nana had a verandham running across the front of her bungalow, we used to sit and drink afternoon tea there, every afternoon, and the great thing was you could even sit there if it rained. I always wanted a house with a verandha!!!

  10. I love porches, of any type. My idea of a wonderful evening is sitting on a porch with just one or two good friends, perhaps a drink or two, and enjoying good conversation while the world walks by. It honestly is.

  13. I LOVE Verandah's....This one is especially beautiful, isn't it? The shape of the whole thing...."Verandah" is used in many plays---particularly plays that take place in The South--I mean here in The USA....You know, one character will say..."We were out on The Verandah..." or someone might say..."Let's go out on The Verandah. It definitely conjures up a very particular image.

  15. Hi Shammi. I am new to your blog. You sure have variety. We call that a porch here in NZ, where you can shelter from the rain. - Dave
