Happy Canada Day!

Red and white were designated Canada's official colours in 1921 by King George V.

Canada's red and white maple leaf flag was first raised over Parliament Hill in Ottawa on 15 February 1965.

Today, Canada celebrates it's 142nd birthday. A mere youngster compared to our older cousin to the south.
Happy Canada Day, everyone!

  1. Have a happy day.

I've enjoyed all your posts about different buildings there in Canada and, of course, your little grandsons.

  2. I think I could live in Canada if it was 15 degrees further south. Then again, we're all a bit biased about where we live.

You've given me an idea for a post regarding what I would like to be the ideal trip after China. Quttinirpaaq National Park.

Might have to save up for that one.

  3. Happy Canada Day. Did it seem kinda weird having a holiday in the middle of the week or is it just me?

  6. Happy day ... I was nearly born in Canada. My parents wanted to live there but had to pay for their third child (my elder sister) and couldn't afford it. Thus I was born in Holland
