Diggers

A final day at the beach at the end of the summer.... it looks like we were the only people there but actually it was quite crowded.

Sibbald Point Provincial Park on the south shore of Lake Simcoe is less than an hour's drive away from home, which means the beach is usually pretty busy in the summer. We take a picnic, stake a claim on one of the shaded picnic tables under the trees, unload all the plastic buckets and shovels, and they start to dig.

  3. Kind of nice to have the whole beach to yourself! I'm afraid some of our beaches are going to be washed away in the next couple of days.

  5. Last days at the beach are always a wee bit sad ☺ Shammi you asked about Attadale, it is directly opposite Dalkeith on the other side of the river, super area also.

  6. It is always fun for kids and adults to play at beach. How lucky that just an hour takes you to the beach. My prefecture has no beach.

  7. Oh that contact with the ocean is so precious! I love it and in my humble opinion it's very good for one's health, physically and psychologically too!

  8. Thank you so much for the definition of a Mellophone.
Now why didn't I think of that myself?
The instrument gives a lot of balance to the sound.
Love the photos of the last day of summer. Lots of fun.

  9. Greetings! I don't know about your little house on Ormond Beach but I'd guess it would have sustained some damage. Hopefully, it will be up and ready for you the next time you come this way.
