Are you feeling jolly yet?

Santa Claus made his first visit to our small town this weekend just to help everyone achieve the required festive shopping mood. The giant tree in the town square is twinkling with lights, and an outdoor concert in the town square featuring local singers and dancers kicked off the "Holiday Season". Actually it's not much of a "Holiday" if you consider all the list-making, shopping, wrapping, baking, dish washing, cleaning, card writing, etc etc.... ahhh, only another 22 days to go!

  2. Amusing thought about it not being a holiday with all the work involved! :)

Your town event looks like fun. We had something similar scheduled last week, but it was cancelled due to icy and snowy weather. We all stayed in to watch tiny snowflakes drizzle and ran outside to see the wonder when we could because we knew it wouldn't stick. The next day it was sunny and bright again with the last of the ice melting. I sometimes think it is funny that the entire town shuts down at any sign of precipitation, but that's how it in Texas--we don't know what to do but stay in!
