B is for Bunny

Breaking news! A humungous giant golden Bunny has been captured hopping around town. He was first spotted rabbitting about in the park, and was finally tied down outside the drug store.

He has been identified as a rare breed of rabbit (Leporidae Chocolatius) only seen in the weeks leading up to Easter. After Easter he feels a little deflated, so goes into hibernation until next year, usually in a big cardboard box.
The appearance of the golden Bunny usually frightens away Old Man Winter, but not this year!

Bloody 'ell.... SNOW in April! It shouldn't be allowed!

  1. Ooooooh! If only that bunny were solid chocolate!

Ahhhhh....snow in April! We have actually had our share of that in Northern Arizona in years past, but thankfully we're sunny and warm this year. A happy Easter weekend to you. :-)

  3. When we ived in North Dakota, I remember being afraid that the Easter Bunny couldn't get through the snow to the house.

He always managed it, even when there was a blizzard!

  6. I love the Lindt chocolate bunny.

I just bought a bag of their super dark chocolate balls for my candy dish in the living room. I already ate half of them already. :-)

  8. Chocolate Bunnies sounds better than Ice Bunnies. As I look out my window here in Michigan, it's blizzard conditions outside, I can hear the wind howling and can't see past the third house down from me.

  9. Yes, the most tempting time of the year for long-standing chocoholics... But I hate choc bunnies - I can't bite their body parts, so I go for regular bars...

Here in Downunder, we finally got the chimney cleaned and fireplace inspected on Thursday, so we are free to light the fire place - nice!

  11. Are you serious--you had snow in April!! Actually, I do remember having one or two of those when I grew up in Michigan years ago!

Happy Bunny weekend to you...and a glorious Easter celebration!

  12. I hate to tell you this, but a) I've been off since Thursday (until Monday!) for Easter holidays and b) we're savouring beautiful sunny weather and 20°C T-shirt temps.

Have a great Easter... with many chocolate Bunnies!

  13. Well, it is going to snow here today, too, a very unusual event so late in the year. And we don't have a giant golden bunny, either (although, if I was nearby, I'd be tempted to stick a pin in him just to see whether he was solid chocolate).

  15. Hello, nice blog! That's a great bunny. I just found a comment you left for me on my blog from a few months ago - i guess I got behind on my comment reading. Well, a belated 'thanks for stopping by'! Happy Easter.

  16. I think you and I should start a petition and have winter banned after March 31st. Between the two of us we might just get it done!!

I didn't get any chocolate for any reason this year. Will have to buy my own.

  17. Wow, that has got to be the biggest bunny rabbit I ever saw and a gold one too.

Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting about the hummingbirds. I have planted some flowers that attract them, and we use a feeder and they seem to stop over every summer.
