Christmas Lights

Check out this video of 20,000 Christmas lights synchronised with music. (Be patient, it takes a few moments to load.)
This was in Newmarket, Ontario, in 2006 to raise money for the local Hospital. I'll have to investigate if the same display has been plugged in this year.
The part I like best is the electricity meter spinning round! Rather him than me.
Amazing display, but I'm glad that I'm not one of his neighbours!

  1. Do you think the music plays really loudly, too? How about the parade of cars going past??

  2. I recently saw a video of a similar one in Ohio, and my first thought was WOW..!
My second thought was, I'm glad I don't live next door..1

  3. I saw a similar video last year with the same music, but I think it came from the states. Anyway, great idea to donate, only, I'd hate to get his electricity bill! ;)

  4. Reminds me of the movie with Danny DiVito and Matthew Broderick....yup, I don't think I'd want to live on his block because of traffic alone!!

  6. I have never seen anything like that before. Thanks for showing it to me. I sure hope the neighbors across the street from my house don't get any "bright" ideas.

  7. Hope you are getting around in the snow, what a dump you had, all we have had is a thin layer of snow that you can leave footprints in, the birds and small animal tracks show up.
That is quite a stained glass window, is that in your house and is it quite old?

  8. Yes, it tokk some time to load, but it was clearly worth viewing! Trust, though, for the neighbours, that it was not working for too many hours (days?)!

  9. People's creativity ceases to amaze me. Seeing him with all those cords and here I have trouble keeping a steady string going:)
