Baby Update

Since so many bloggers have been enquiring about the chicken and egg ticker at the top of the page, here's the scoop.

My first Grandbaby is being a little stubborn and staying where he/she is right now, even though the due date was last Monday.

The doc says that all is well with both mother and baby, and it's just a waiting game. But if Baby doesn't make an appearance over the weekend, Monday will be The Day!

Update Monday 18 Feb, 9:45am. No sign of Baby yet, but the doc says we've all waited long enough and so Mummy and Daddy are at the hospital ready for the process to start. Stay tuned!

Update Monday 18 Feb 9:01pm. Baby is definitely on the way, but is a little reluctant to meet his/her new family. Probably feeling shy. Mummy is breathing a big thankyou to medical science for the blessings of an epidural, and Daddy has been providing awesome encouragement. More news in the morning.

Well, babies always come when least expected. Congratulations on the boy. If I was a girl I would have said, "Girl."

Well, my girls arrived two weeks early, but my son arrived two weeks late. At least you know that you won't have to wait much past Monday. You must be so excited.

My friend at work is waiting like you - but her grandbaby was due a week last Friday and 'he' still hasn't made an appearance. Still it's the best place for both of them!

Babies always have their own schedule. My first baby came early. The second came 3 days late (not that bad) and the last baby was 10 days late! I hated being past my date. It was like walking around with a time bomb. I nervous about going anywhere, even to the store.

Come to think about it, that 3rd child has kept the trend going. He's always late for everything!

So, if nothing happened during the weekend, today is the day!

They certainly take their time!

Two of mine came on the expected day, one was two days early and one five days late, says she smugly!

Why don't you suggest she has a game of tennis? That usually does the trick!
