  1. Nice to see them on the job, until you realize that you have to get rid of those mounds that they leave at the end of the driveway.. and they're twice as heavy with the milder weather! Don't mind me.. my back is still sore. ;)

  7. Wow! That's a lot of snow. Must be freezing cold there. It's still blowing a gale here. It's whistling through any cracks that it can find (lots of those in my conservatory) and howling down the chimney.

    We have raging gales, hurrican in the Irish Sea, torrential rain. I've even chickened out of going to Whaley Bridge for my yoga class this morning because of traffic warnings.

    We supposed to be going over the hills to Buxton Opera House tonight to hear a lecture by Robin Knox Johnson. Let's hope the wind has dropped a bit by then.
