There are trails through the forest just to the north of town... some are gravel and are suitable for bikes, and some, like this one, are better suited for hiking through the bush.
The fresh new green leaves look so vivid in the spring sunlight. Tessa thinks so too.
The trail runs partly around the edge of the town reservoir. A pair of Trumpeter Swans have been returning every year to raise their family, and they are back again this year.
Looks like you and Tessa went on a very fun walk. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great "sitter" you are. We had dogs all our life until we retired and now just the thought of having to walk a dog several times a day makes me tired. But I have to admit--that is a cute dog.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and thanks for visiting my blog. I really enjoy yours.

14 days until you zoom into the sky...going where?? did i miss something?
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of when grandson Nicholas and I go out in the woods, Ex-S. Just wait till Callum is old enough to go on those walks with you! You'll be in heaven!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. I was supposed to be dog-sitting this weekend, but it was called off, so I'm having a lazy day instead.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and info.
ReplyDeletepop over and see my busy critter.
Happy Tessa sitting. She's so cute. I'm sure you two will have so much fun exploring everything. When I saw our grand-dogger Snicker wet she looked just like Tessa with her brand new do. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture. She moved too much all I got was a wet blur. LOL :)
ReplyDeletea very nice place to explore!
ReplyDeleteSounded like a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope Tessa didn't run off chasing about some squirrels.
Let's just hope that Mr and Mrs Canada Geese are luckier than the Robins with their eggs.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah... Where are you planning to "zoom" to?
Great shots, Ex-S.. love those eggs. I've never happened upon nesting birds in the wild like that.. or I haven't clued into it anyway. Lucky pup is enjoying some great walks.. as is your camera.
ReplyDeleteSounds you and Tessa had a wonderful travel! Great photos too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk you took. Thanks for bringing us with you!
