Luckily we only have one crummy back alley street in this small town, and this is it. This old door is around the corner from here.

The metal plaque on the door is designed to keep the bad guys away.

Perhaps it's not really needed any more.
There's probably nothing left to steal.

  1. Actually I really like this door. Its so full of character. Of course it may not be great for the neighborhood ambiance but picture wise its great.

  2. I assume nobody is looking to steal the door itself. Pretty ragged, that.

  7. Lol, I came on here to say something about how interesting tattered doors are...seems I'm not the only one. I like it, too. :)

PS: Do you read the comic strip "For Better or for Worse?" It's written by an Ontario, Canada artist and the strip storyline is about a family who lives in a Toronto suburb. I've been reading it since I was a teenager. I figure you must know of it, but if not, check it out: http://www.fbofw.com/. These are particularly interesting: http://www.fbofw.com/behind_the_scenes/q_eh/.

  8. That door makes me think. I wonder what it would look like if a really nice, arched, ornate door were to be found in the midst of a neglected, unkempt area. I suspect it would give it an air of mystery. It might also be an amusing test to see what kind of stories the locals would make up. That might sound mischievous, but that's what came to mind when I saw that pic.

  9. That door would make an awesome glass-topped coffee table. Nice pic.

  10. Yea, I'd be really encouraged to go elsewhere to do nefarious business with that sign and that door.

As for the last post? Callum is beyond adorable,

Looks may be deceiving, and there may be vast treasures in there.
