  2. The door seems to be a back door to a later addition to a century old building... originally built as a store on Main Street in my small town..... I didn't think the door was still in use.

  3. Whatever happened, the message writer certainly wanted to make sure the point was read. Imagine nailing it up . ..

  9. What a charming comment.

I think someone went through the magic door and came out in Combe Martin and had such a shock when meeting Martin, we rushed back and put the notice up.

  10. I'm afraid that only the owner of the house would understand the message. I suggest you ask him or her! We must know! :-)

  11. I saw that door too. There is a lot of things that go on in downtown Stouffville that we don't know about or want to for that matter. Especially back there.
    I like your door photo:)

  12. Oh, you know me. My version of the backstory would be something obscene. Of course, it may well have been, anyway. Great mystery.

By the way, I've published the picture, and your reputation is quite safe :-)

  14. Well, I think someone was being forgiven for not thinking all the time. I wouldn't mind that. I'd like to be told I could think NEXT time. That THIS time was a freebie. I could just sit somewhere, drooling and smiling vacantly and save that thinking stuff for next time.

And, I've been called it so often (especially by a certain Smitten person), that a-hole has become a term of endearment. ;)

  16. Dennis says skinhead types make those SS things and lines through the letter S like that. It might be a warning to be nicer to the skinheads... or else they might ...next time.

  17. Dennis thinks maybe the plywood is covering small windows--maybe somebody broke one of them.

I rarely, hardly ever, almost never call Frank an a-hole. He's confused. I call him an a-wipe. ;)
