Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

Happy Birthday, One Year Old!
You're growing up so fast, where did a whole year go?
Happy birthday, Callum! If you think this year went fast, the next one goes even faster. I can't believe Ella is headed to three.
I'm amazed at the difference in a one year old and a two year old. I'm so glad I'm able to see Ella often because she just changes so fast. Kids are so smart these days.
My own grandson has not made his first appearance yet. The anticipation is driving me crazy. I don't dare say that on my own blog, because my daughter's waiting is much more intense.
Do you have 1st birthday traditions? In my home, we avoided sweets for the baby, and their birthday was the very first taste of cake. It was usually a great big chocolate mess, but we loved it.
Ooh, that Callum! You're a lucky Granny because you can wrap your arms around him! Are you going to frame that clipping for posterity? He's just so darling:)
Thank you so much for inviting us to Callum`s birthday party :) We are honored, but unfortunately we have to wait for few years before we can participate in the party. Now Melli and I send the warmest congratulations to Callum, his parents and his grannies! He is such a joy to you.
Oh my goodness....that is the most wonderful birthday remembrance ever! Something he will cherish throughout his life....really. Happy birthday Callum, and Nana you are the best....
