Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

The Lion in Winter
. You'd look unhappy too, if you were up to your neck in snow and no hope of Spring arriving for another six weeks.
And I cannot believe Baby Callum will be 1 years old in TWO WEEKS! It seems this tear has passed very quickly....! And another Baby almost here....! I'm ashamed to tell you it was in the low 80's here today....Hot enough that I had to turn on my Air Conditioning....Amazing, huh?
What a great shot!!! thanks for stopping by...no, it is not bowling (although I AM a bowler...160 average!!)it is academic bowl...like quiz bowl or college bowl...I am not sure what to equate it to in England or Canada.....like Jeopardy but different format. 5 students-from one school -compete against 5 students form a different school with academic/trivia questions--probably more than you wanted to know!!!! have a good day!
Thanks for the info. D'Oh! I was confusing porcupines and possums, of course. But, I appreciate it, and I got to have some more fun from it. You'll want to go read my addendum to the post :-)
Poor lion. Poor you! This morning, it felt like I might get frostbite just from filling the gas tank. They say it will be unseasonably warm on Saturday... I can't wait!
GREAT photo!
ReplyDeleteGreat one, Shammie!
ReplyDeleteI've had about enough of winter by now.. how about you?
It seems everything north of the equator is covered in snow at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo. Poor lion.
ReplyDeleteHi, Poor old Lion, just at the moment we in the UK have Snow too.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha - that's cute! Poor lion. I've also had enough of winter. Bring on the spring!
ReplyDeleteWe have snow now, too. No doubt you've read/seen that the UK has ground to a half after the worst snowfall for 18 years!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with the decluttering. Can you pop over and do mine?
Sue x
I feel that lion's winter frustration. Another 2-4 due here tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments regarding Sylvia.
ReplyDeleteThis is good humorous upliftment. I hear on the news that London has had 10 inches of snow yesterday or today.
Love this shot and I am ready for spring too,it is starting to warm up here if you can call thirty degrees warm. Lloyd and Ranger.
ReplyDeleteI think he looks kinda funny with that snow hat on his head :)
ReplyDeleteWe've had some snow in Cardiff last night...
ReplyDeleteNice photo :-)
Indeed, Indeed! Not a happy camper is he....lol!

ReplyDeleteGood photo. I've always felt sort of bad for lions outside of our local library when it snows :-(

oh dear, you may have to knit that big kitty a hat.
ReplyDeleteSuper Duper post. Clever and right on....
ReplyDeleteYou seems to have more snow than we have now, enough indeed for both of us, I think and for the lion too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your email, Fenella, I was happy about it!
He does look sad, doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteHe does look sad, doesn't he? At least day length is getting longer day by day. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT shot!!
ReplyDeleteWe have snow too, now!! But sadly not for long I expect!!!
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of that snow down here in Arizona!

ReplyDeleteVictorian:
The UK is halved? Dennis thinks some typos are cute. Dennis hopes you live in the good half.
that is a fab. photo
ReplyDeletehe looks rather resigned to it all
great pic.
ReplyDeleteI love that shot. We also have loads of snow and more to come but I love it because we hardly ever have it here. It's usually boring old rain.
