Seven Years (and three days)!

I've just noticed that I missed my Blogiversary! Oh No! I've been scribbling my thoughts and posting my photos on the blog for seven years (and three days). How the time flies. When I started, I really had no idea what a blog actually was. Since then bloggers have come and gone, and new bloggers have arrived, and I've been exchanging comments with some of you wonderful people since the beginning.

My life has changed a lot during those seven years (and three days).  I sold my big house and downsized to a smaller one. I've gained a couple of lovely daughters, and became a proud Nana when four energetic little people joined the family.

During those seven years (and three days) there have been over 37,000 page views, 656 blog posts, no idea how many photos, well over 10,000 comments, and I've probably made the same amount of comments on other people's blogs. I've made blog friends all over the world, and have even met one of my bloggers in person.... sadly passed away now. R.I.P. Brian. I miss your news from the North.
I haven't been a very good blogger recently.... life gets very busy.... but I aim to continue, so watch this space!

  1. Happy Blogiversary. We are both still pressing on although sporadically at time.

  2. Happy Blogiversary! Wow! Seven years!

I think I've been with you for almost ALL those seven years....!
I hope you continue on Blogging for at least another 7 years--if not 17!

  4. Well, then! Since I'm one of your oldest/longest blogger friends, you've inspired me to do the stats on my blog for my next anniversary (in February, I think). Hmmmm.

AND, since we've talked about it for such a long time, let's meet up in real life soon. I know you want to!!! :D

Don't we just love looking back to see what all has happened to us! Nothing ever stays the same....

  5. Happy Blogaversary!! My how time flies! I don't know how we found each other but I'm soooo happy we did, but it's been at least 6 years, and I consider you one of my closest bloggy friends! I'm sure someday we'll actually meet in person, crossing my fingers!

PS: the winds weren't as strong in SF, but when we were driving through Oakland on the way to the cabin Thursday night, we saw lots of power lines exploding, lighting up the sky like lightning. It was a lot windier there.

PSS: Yup, we leave a 'flight plan' w/ our hideaway neighbor so if we don't show up the next day, he'll send out a search party. But we were prepared for that desert trip, we had extra fuel, food, parts and tools plus sleeping bags and tarps in case we had to spend the night, thank god we didn't!

  6. Happy BlogAnniversary! Seven years (and three days) that is cause for celebration! What an achievement – so many posts – 656! Isn’t blogging so much fun? where we meet the nicest and most interesting people from all parts of the world. I hope you will blog for many more years.

  7. Wow, seven years. About the same time as me; gosh, doesn't tempus fugit. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm hoping - it happened last year - that another local market will also hand out free bottles tomorrow (Sunday). I'll be there! Well, I'm unemployed and every little bit helps. Cheers!

  8. Wow.. doesn't time pass quickly when you're having fun? And you sure have had a great run. Long may it continue. Happy 7 years (and 3 [now 4] days).

  9. Happy 7 years and 5 days!!
I think I am just about right there with you in numbers.
We have all been through a lot of ups and downs together but blogging can be like therapy to me. I love getting to know people like you from all over our crazy world.
    Please come back often.
