Yellow
A little bit blurred because the photo was taken through glass, but I think he's either an American Goldfinch or a Yellow Warbler. He didn't stay long, just long enough for me to grab the camera.
Oh goodness, beautiful creature!! I mentioned to a friend last week that I would love to get my hands in a field guide to "Birds Of North Dakota" and today when I came home there was a book about birds by the door. You got a good shot!
Hey, you got the shot and it's a good one. What a beautiful bird.
ReplyDeleteHe's a beauty. Great shot. It's hard to photograph them like you did.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty. And don't those little birds make greased lightening look slow...?

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely little bird, glad you got a picture of him.
ReplyDeleteThat sure brightened your day. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a male goldfinch, nice and bright in his breeding plumage!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful capture, quick with the click. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a finch, but I'm not sure either. I saw 3 today sitting on my clothesline. Was going to try and get a pic, but they flew off.
ReplyDeleteNice capture, so glad your camera was close by.
Truly a handsome fellow!
ReplyDeleteWell I think that was very considerate of him Shammi, he's a colourful little beauty, you got a good shot under pressure 😊
