Movie'n'Mexican 2007

For a few years now, our extended family Christmas/New Year tradition is to go out for Mexican food followed by a movie. Last night was the chosen night. Mariachi's on Yonge Street.... great food, not too spicy, Mariachi music in the background, good cold Mexican beer, good company, good service. Then the movie. Let me insert a warning here. If you are inclined to see "For Your Consideration" I suggest you use some reconsideration... IMHO it's absolute rubbish! I should have known when we first entered the cinema, there were only 12 people watching the film, and eight of them were US!

  1. Thank you for visiting and commmenting on my blog.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful 207 as well.

  2. Mexican food! you lucky lucky lucky lucky lucky people you!

I just to make do with my Heinz baked beens on toast!

  3. I love Mexican but it has t come out of a yellow box as the only Mex restaurant closed down years ago.I am really jealous of anyone that can dine out on Mexican. And you want baked beans on Toast?

What British delacacies do you miss? (if any)

  4. Deni: 2007 is shaping up pretty good so far.

    Martin: mmmm BBonT, my fave.

Fizzy: We can get most British foods here now, but when I first came here I really missed Weetabix and Marmite!

  5. Thanks for checking out my blog as well, and feel free to pop in and check it out any time. I hope you are having a good start to the new year and that it isn't too cold round your neck of the woods (it's a mild 23 degrees in Muscat).

    All the best,

P.S. Mmmm, Mexican food. Man that brings back some great memories of tacos, elotes and tamales. That stuff is great. Have you been to Mexico before? you really ought to if you haven't.

  6. Anyone want me to post them a jar of marmite for old times sake?

  7. Ohhhh! That looks absolutely lovely!

    I love Mexican food! YUM!

  8. I'm in Arizona and I wonder what Mexican food in Ontario is like.

  9. Beans on toast. Haven't had that forced on me in years!

I could go for a canadian swiss sandwich right now.

Mexican food in Ontario isn't to bad if you go to the city. They are usually REAL Mexicans that are making it.

  10. BTW, For You Consideration is a good movie. The blogger is bananas.
