Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

Chip 'n' Dale
I was relaxing under the patio umbrella, reading, and suddenly I caught movement out of the corner of my eye.
I grabbed my camera and a handful of bird seed mixture.
There were two of them. Filling their pouches for winter. Little greedy guts.
They live behind the downspout in the flower garden.
They are clever. We have them too. They also put up for winter, dog food pellets. I don't think they will stay dry and if they don't, then I don't know if they will eat the mush when they get that way.
To answer your question on the Bronze post...No I didn't buy the statue. It is actually very large and has 3 kids balancing on a log. I could not get in a good place to take the entire sculpture so I concentrated on the face I liked the best. I had enough strange looks as I took shots in the furniture store.
REPLY ALL: This is the first year that I have seen chipmunks in the back yard, and the neighbours' yards seem to be full of them too. It must be a good summer for chippies. They are very bold, and will come right up to me if I have something that they consider good to eat, like yummy sunflower seeds.
LOL! They are adorable especially with their fat chubby cheeks!!!
one of their cousins (are squirrels cousins?) almost came into our cabin last weekend. Our chimney is falling apart and it came in thru there, i saw movement out of the corner of my eye as it peeked its head in and I yelled "What the ???" and scared it out. We filled the holes in the chimney immediately.
Oh how absolutely adorable....I know some folks call them tree rats...but chipmunks and squirrels are adorable....most of the time.
ReplyDeleteThose are some chubby cheeks. Its amazing how much they can store in those little mouths.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
"Tic et Tac" in French, if you refer to the cartoon. I guess you don't refer to the male performers?
ReplyDeleteI know two cats who would like to make its acquaintance . . .

ReplyDeleteNice photo.
These always make me think of a Disney cartoon set around Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly very nice to look at.
How adorable!?!?! The last photo is exceptionally gorgeous, the little thing with its engorged little cheeks.
ReplyDeleteYou ever seen one of them cheeks explode? It's an awful mess.
