There's nothing like strolling along the street on a warm summer night, listening to fabulous jazz played outside. (Note: it wasn't really a WARM summer night, it got quite chilly, I was glad I had my jacket. The singer looked frozen.)
This is the tenth year for the Markham Jazz Festival.
The highlight of the evening was the Hilario Duran Big Band playing in the Unionville Millennium Bandstand.
Cuban Jazz with a decidedly Latin outlook.
Did this take place in your neighborhood? If so, it must have been nice to stroll over.
ReplyDeleteWe have a special place in the park where there are open mic nites....really good music played there by locals. Small town stuff is grand isn't it?
ReplyDeleteencore! encore!, nice shots!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice event. Hope you had a blast.
ReplyDeleteThe musicians look sassy and fun, just what one would want at a jazz concert.

ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteMosquitos are TERRIBLE CREATURES! I didn't mention them because it was a very sore point (pardon the pun) between my man and I. He left the tent zipper open all night...I was eaten alive. And I haven't even STARTED on black flies!
