Reflecting Pool

The town reservoir is home to redwing blackbirds, turtles, bullfrogs, Canada geese, swans, beavers and, occasionally, some giant mosquitoes. This where Tessa spends her excess puppy energy when she comes to stay with me.

The life preserver is a nice touch... but I wouldn't venture in, too much water weed. However I've seen people drift around in a rowing boat, and sometimes there are people fishing on the bank.

  3. The Bag Lady is thankful she doesn't know how to swim...so she wouldn't be tempted to try it in the reservoir. Whew!

  9. So pretty to look at, but no way I would venture in. Our town reservoir is made of concrete.

  10. I can imagine Tess loving all that vegetation and swampiness to roll around in. Looks like a great walking place. Don't think I want to swim there though. Have a great weekend.

  14. By town reservoir do you mean “town water supply”?

If so, why are humans and for that matter dogs allowed to recreate in it?

If not, than have at it, nice tranquil spot with all the bird activity no matter what it is used for.
