C N Tower

It's the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere.

You can reach the SkyPod in one of six elevators (one has a glass floor!) travelling at 20 feet per second, and when you arrive, you'll probably need a beer to calm your frazzled nerves at the world's highest bar at at 346 metres (1,135 ft).

  4. I must confess to watching this being built but never having gone up to the top..or in fact even visited it at all. I don't 'do' heights..!

  6. Unfortunately, I am scared of heights. When in Toronto, we actually stayed just a couple of blocks from the tower, but I never went up - nor wanted to do so!

  7. Great shot. The glass floor is a lot of fun. Amazing how tentative those first steps are even know you know it's perfectly safe.

  8. I remember going there in 1996 and standing over the glass floor. I don't think their elevator was glass floored then though.
