Rabbits! It's September!

A Pinch and a Punch,
the First of the Month
and no returns......
and to bring a month of good luck, my first spoken word this morning was "Rabbits"!

Which brings me to this delightful pink bunny.

Actually not a rabbit, but a hare. A magnificent pink bunny by sculptor Ottmar Hörl. It pays tribute to German artist Albrecht Dürer's 500 year old painting "Young Hare" which hangs in the nearby Albertina Museum in Vienna.

  1. What a powerful pink rabbit! Thank you for sharing the link of Ottmar Hörl. It is first time to know of him. I enjoyed his works.
I am back-glad to visit you again. Have a happy new week!

  2. I have never understood the difference between hares and rabbits or tortoises and turtles.

  3. Molly, our oldest cat, lugged home a rabbit last week for me to praise. Not cool.

  4. Not sure I know the difference between a rabbit and a hare. Hmmm.

  5. Ha, that's a good one! I had not thought of it. Has become such a familiar sight around here. ;-)
Here's another pink one: Pink Hare at the Albertina.

I am looking forward to see more of your Vienna pictures!

  6. I looked through your pictures of the European tour, beautiful! It is always so interesting to see and read other travellers's impressions. I have never been to Bled, but I have been to Venice many times. Here are a few of my impressions of Venice.

  7. I have heard of a rabbit's foot for good luck and never understood it.
Wishing you all kinds of good luck this September. (pink or otherwise)

  8. And a tribute there ought to be, but maybe NOT a pink rabbit. :-)

  9. Love that vibrant pink hare. Quirky and fun.
As usual I forgot to say Rabbit yesterday. Some month I will remember.

  10. We have an abundance of snowshoe hares in the vicinity. I have yet to get one to eat out of my hand, but I'll keep trying.

  12. That's one fierce scowl on the hare in the painting.

  13. Good luck for the month! Talking of a hare and a rabbit, Peter Rabbit and March Hare come to my mind first. The sculpture is so impressive.
