October Resolution

I haven't been a very diligent blogger recently. I seem to have lost my blogging inspiration, and sadly, I find that quite a few of the usual bloggers that I like to read are missing too. So as it's a nice new month, I'm going to try to blog something every day, or perhaps it might be every other day if I run out of brain power, which is quite likely.
"Oh Yeah???? I'll believe it when I see it!"  I can hear you saying. Well, I may not succeed, but I'm going to try.
Yesterday's pictures featured the beautiful chickens at Markham Fair.
Today I'm showing you some of the prizewinning baking at the Fair. Scrumptious!

When OlderSon was little, he always entered an exhibit in the category "Chocolate Cake, Boys Only" and actually won the first prize red ribbon a couple of times. I don't think he makes chocolate cake any more now, but he is really accomplished at pumpkin pie!

  1. They do look good.
Blogging every day? You are a much braver woman than I am.

  2. It would be very easy to say, 'I'll try something of everything' with that baking!

  3. Wow, they look so delicious. Now I want one or two. :)

  4. There's a tart there that would have my name on it Shammi 😊 I can see why you love visiting the chooks in last post, amazing colours and those faces, are they called faces 😀😀 Good luck with the daily postings!

  5. The baking makes me think of the 4 apple pies that we bought in a nearby town this week. I think a good apple pie might be better than you know what. :)

  6. Ah yes, I'm one of those absent bloggers...i was chatting with Jimmy a few weeks ago and I'm not sure I even remember how to post a regular blog anymore, aside from automatic posts from my instagram feed. Thank you for still visiting mine ever now and again and leaving a comment! Glad you caught my little trip to London. My niece is studying abroad for a semester and I along with another aunt went with her to spend a few days exploring the great city before she started university. It was an amazing trip and I'm forever grateful that she asked us to join her. I can't believe it took me this long to get there. London is probably my favorite city outside of california and I could go back tomorrow.
