  3. If you have some bacon, and some mayonnaise, and some lettuce and some bread - ah, you have something truly fine.

  9. Your toms are looking good, and the plants look really healthy. It's a different matter this side of the Atlantic - the very wet weather has been pretty disasterous for growing tomatoes.

  10. Because of the three month drought here and us watering, all the people who have tomatoes out are saying the ones they get are very small about the size of a golf ball. I know our tomatoes are Better Boy and they are also small. You r tomatoes seem to be of a normal size.

These tomato plants were planted in last year's compost heap and I've been watering them regularly, so that's why they look so good. And they are so sweet to eat. A thousand times better than those tasteless pink lumps we get imported from Mexico the rest of the year.
And yes, Craver, for breakfast! Just add a slice of bacon, an egg, some salt and pepper and a slice of toast.... can't beat it!

  12. And I spy tomoatoes to add to the growing list of edible goodies. We've had none this year so far due to a very wet summer. Last year, however, we had them until the end of December. There's nothing like a home-grown tomato.
