These young men live in Montreal, in Canada. On Monday they stood in one of the Montreal subway stations to show a public plea for harmony after the recent terror attacks in Paris and Beirut. They wanted to make a visual statement about fear and hatred. They held hands and wore white T-shirts declaring their origins: New York City, Egypt, and Paris.
Their video is well worth watching. Love Over Fear.
Such a powerful statement. Thank you for posting it. Sometimes all you need is a smile.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great way to show that most people are NOT terrorists and that we have more to like about each other than to fear.
ReplyDeleteTears and gratitude. Thank you, and them.
ReplyDeleteThis is so very very wonderful and touching and so very very true. LOVE OVER FEAR! Thank you for sharing this, my dear.....

ReplyDeleteCamera Girl said ". . most people are NOT terrorists." She obviously never met my ex-wife!

ReplyDeleteWonderful, thank you so much for sharing Shammic, we need all the good people in the world to unite more than ever before.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. There is a lot of positive stuff b wing. Posted here and there.
ReplyDeleteGood for those lads, we could do with more people like them.
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar demonstration in my town when after the 7/7 bombings in 2005 by extremists. A group of young men, Christians, Muslims and Jews stood silently in the High Street holding placards and hands. The placards started "They will NOT separate us" and similar slogans.
The police turned up and did just that! They made them move along and dispersed them. It seems that it's not just the extremists that want to separate us!
Disgusting.
Wow - thanks for posting! I live in Montreal and only saw a few pics. Did not see this video!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see the good side of humanity for a change.
Hugs
So many bad things seem to be happening in the world, it is all so sad. However watching this video shows that there is a decent side to humanity. Thanks for sharing it.
