Love Over Fear

These young men live in Montreal, in Canada. On Monday they stood in one of the Montreal subway stations to show a public plea for harmony after the recent terror attacks in Paris and Beirut. They wanted to make a visual statement about fear and hatred. They held hands and wore white T-shirts declaring their origins: New York City, Egypt, and Paris.

Their video is well worth watching. Love Over Fear.

  2. It's a great way to show that most people are NOT terrorists and that we have more to like about each other than to fear.

  11. Good for those lads, we could do with more people like them.

We had a similar demonstration in my town when after the 7/7 bombings in 2005 by extremists. A group of young men, Christians, Muslims and Jews stood silently in the High Street holding placards and hands. The placards started "They will NOT separate us" and similar slogans.

The police turned up and did just that! They made them move along and dispersed them. It seems that it's not just the extremists that want to separate us!

    Disgusting.
