Not quite a pea souper, but almost. At least some of the snow is melting.
California has rain and wind, Eastern Canada is digging out from four big snowstorms in the past week, and here in S. Ontario we have fog.
Strange weather for January. A good day to stay home and bake bread.
Feels raw . . .
ReplyDeleteDoes look foggy, but that bread looks good.
ReplyDeleteyummy!! I love the smell of fresh homemade bread. My MIL makes some every couple of months and we're the happy recipients of 2 loaves to bring home. (smacking lips).
ReplyDeleteFog in the Bay Area is one thing we're accustomed to. Don't like it, but it's not unusual. The winds and rains we had...yea...they were troublesome. Those tree cutter downer people were in my front yard again with their chain saws because a tree had fallen in the street. I couldn't take pics because it was downpouring and I'm in the back unit so I couldn't see them very well. My in-laws were out of power for 2 days. We were dark for only 5 minutes so very grateful for that. Thanks for asking! Careful driving in that foggy weather. Sometimes I think it's worse than driving in the snow.
I'll trade you one really foggy day for 5 snow days. Deal??? That bread looks really good....think I'll have some fritos and bean dip. Not exactly the same but it's all I've got.
ReplyDeleteYes that's definitely pea soup fog. When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area we had that fray stuff a lot of the time. Do I miss it? Not one bit. Love where we are now and wouldn't go back...
ReplyDeleteI like the picture and the mood you convey.
Oops...I forgot to comment on that yummy looking bread. You really made my mouth water. I great passtime for a gray day.

Home made bread!!! Have been missing that for years! (I know, I could bake myself, but...)
ReplyDeleteHi, I love the mysterious moody look of fog, it really looks good on that picture, Not that we want it over here, its a nightmare to drive in, especially freezing fog.
ReplyDeleteAny soup to go with that bread? That would be yummy for sure:)
ReplyDeleteI'll bet that smells wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's 65 degrees (18c) outside right now. This is not normal! Maybe I should send the kids out to play in the sprinkler.
Water balloon fight anyone?
we have loads of fog along the Hudson River--I like the low crawling stuff that moves along the ground -like in an old horror film-- but we also get the thick stuff that is impossible to drive in.
ReplyDeleteCor - fresh baked breat with a lge knob of butter, on a cold and foggy day, sitting by a roaring fire.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Fog! AND
ReplyDeleteI LOVE BREAD
