Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

Colours of Winter
Winter landscape can be dull and monotone, almost a black and white world.... until you look a little closer.
I've been catching up on my blog reading and found I missed some great posts of your Scottish night. It looks like a fun event and the food looks yummy... I'd be the first to give haggis a try! Thanks for sharing the the Burns poem.. 'Great Chieftain of the pudding race' just tickles me..and I was glad to find out why the Scotts are so sturdy..the benefits of haggis:) We've just enjoyed watching the last of the TV series 'Hamish McBeth' on DVD. Fun strff..
Lovely photo, ex-S. You've captured the best of the seasons in one shot.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. It's a winter wonderland somewhere, I'm sure. Not here in Amsterdam, sad to say. :(
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your photo!
Quite a spangled world, actually, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteA nice shot. We're almost springlike here. No sign of frost or snow.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! It looks like a fine marriage of autumn and winter with those warm hues. Or perhaps a tease of spring?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how the sun tickles some of the leafs and brightens the evergreen.
ReplyDeleteWhat great contrast:)
ReplyDeletethis is a lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteNice shine on the leaves there also the snow - very effective.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful photo, Ex:)
