Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

For Sale
I've been working towards this for quite a while, and I have finally made my decision. My house is FOR SALE.
Move down to Bolingbrook, Illinois!!! We'd love to have you as our neighbor, and it's close enough to drive into downtown Chicago for all the snazzy stuff that goes on there. Oh, and there is a nice outdoor Theatre on the Hill just two miles from here.
If you move to San Francisco, you'll have an instant friend! :) I suspect you'd have to convince your kids to move with you so I'll settle for a holiday if you can't coax them to drop everything and move clear across the continent.
It's such a beautiful home. I know you've done a lot to prepare for this and I'm sure it'll pay off. Good luck with the sale!
i just looked at the slideshow of your home and it's so so beautiful. I love your style, I love the cabinet built in's in the living room and entry way, I love the way you've painted, the stained glass windows and furnishings. It was fun seeing you kitchen and yard because I remember admiring them from your previous blog posts. I loved seeing your front yard, I remember when you had precious trees being removed from your street. I imagine that it was a tough choice to make, it's obvious the pride you've taken in your house, but your home will be within your heart wherever you are. Thank you so much for this glimpse into your beautiful home!
Where will you move?
ReplyDeleteWe are living to far away from this beautiful house...
It looks like a lovely old home! Where do you plan to move to?
ReplyDeleteIt's been quite a journey for you, Sham. I know this journey and wish you only the best!
ReplyDeleteDownsizing? I imagine you're not going too far away from the grandkids.
ReplyDeleteThe house is beautiful, and shows like a dream. I hope you know where you are moving to, as I don't think it will be on the market long..!
ReplyDeleteNice house! Loved the virtual tour. It must have taken you AGES to empty the rooms of personal items for the photography.
ReplyDeleteWow ! nice house!
