But May so far? Hmmm... it's been nothing but torrents of rain, strong winds, sleet, hail, and this morning I woke up to the "S word".... yes, that "S word"..... S.N.O.W!
Not a couple of feet of snow, like they are enduring a couple of hundred k north of here, but S.N.O.W nontheless! And in the merry month of May too! It shouldn't be allowed.
Of couse I went outside in my jammies with my camera and froze my toes.
Perhaps this is what is meant by frozen rhubarb.

And I'd like to wish all you mums out in blogland a Happy Mother's Day. Enjoy your breakfast in bed, the bouquets of flowers, the chocolates, the hugs from your children, the special lunch, the dinner with the family, whatever and however you celebrate. Mothers are very special people. Enjoy your special day!
Snow in May? Oh my! Stay dry and toasty.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mum's day Shammie!! Despite the snow, wow, I can't believe it! Have a great day and thank you for the mom's day wishes, too. You know how much I love being an auntie! If you come to SF I promise I'll take you to all the beautiful places and we'll watch the sunset under the golden gate bridge...as long as it's not foggy! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you got the S-word, Shammie. We were spared but it sure is cold. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. :)
ReplyDeleteA Belated Mother's Day to you, my dear....Hope your Day was wonderful---And Snow?? Incredible! It seems other places are having snow in May, too....Weird, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWe'll take the torrents of rain if you like and you can have more of our sunshine.
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteI've been as bad as you with blogging recently. Thanks for your comments though, and I shall take great delight in telling the world once the little one arrives. It is still a baby rather than a boy or girl, so all very exciting.
Not so keen on seeing that snow in May!!
Sue x
Saw a few flakes down here a few days ago, but that was the extent of it. Latest I ever recall it snowing here was May 20th, about thirty years ago. Bizarre.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing snow... maybe because I am from a tropical country...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comment about the Mother's Day! A belated Happy Mother's Day to you too!
Oh, I'm so sorry about the snow! Hope you had a wonderful Mommy's Day!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Shammie. Sorry the comment disappeared. Our weather is crazy here too in "Sunny" California.
ReplyDeleteIt rained all over our BBQ yeasterday but we stayed inside all warm and cozy. Today there is snow in the mountains about an hour from our home and we have got the wind and rain. What's up with May and Spring???
Oh dear! We had snow too!
ReplyDeleteWe are still so cold here in Holland, Sham, hovering in the high 40s to low 50s. When will it get warm? The funny thing is that it got up to 70 a couple of the days when I was away in Atlanta. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteI guess the nice weather (temporarily?) left many of us!
ReplyDeleteYou froze your toes? That's 'cause you need to wear jammies that have feet. I gotta get me some of those.
