Going to Church tomorrow?

Church authorities removed this sign after they received complaints from the community. A little bit of bad judgement , I think.
Photo "borrowed" from the Toronto Star.

  5. :-) I like the sign :-) !

Hope no offence was taken at my blog today :-) ! It is a poem I wrote in 1998. It was published in

In Our Own Words - volume 2

A poem written about a man I live for / with.

Have been focusing a lot on my children lately, with the birthdays (thank you for the comments :-) !) and felt it was time for some focus on him and me :) !

For a more innocent ;-) post click here to see photos from my son's party today.

  8. Some people are so thin skinned! The sign was funny. Okay, not in the best possible taste, but it was funny.

  9. I thought the sign was funny. I wonder who was offended...
I noticed your other blog, and wanted to as you, how do you set up a blog where more than one person can post?

  11. You gotta laugh though, right? As for the meme.....you are quite a woman...smart, well traveled, love your family and appreciate all that life has to offer....I'm glad we are friends.

  12. Since I don't agree with the majority I just won't comment. lol.
When it snows in this part of Georgia lots of things just close down. Just found out we aren't having church tomorrow due to our icey roads.

  15. These become in the name of policy and interests.

  16. :) it was funny you must say and if you understand that it was not humor but their innocence that got them into trouble. The real shame is on the community who obviously had a dirty mind and I bet, never made it to church.

  18. When I taught in Nottingham I caught a bus to school. The route passed a church, ouside sign read, "If you are tired of sin come inside!" Underneath somebody had written, "And if you are not, call me on this number!" How Ilaughed each morning!

  19. Since my dad was a preacher and had to always put up his own signs, I had quite the laugh. Even though I could never see him putting this up, I actually think he'd get a chuckle out of it. (People need to lighten up a bit!)

  23. Hilarious, it cheered my friends and I up. Anymore like this to brighten up a dismal day in the U.K.?

  24. Humour or not (I would rather say “yes”), but this kind of signs and messages outside a church here in France (or in most European countries) is impossible to imagine. Much more conservative style here (but of course hardly anybody goes to church any more).

  25. Well, compared to other "advertisments" along the road, what's to be upset about this message?

  26. hahahee! Thanks for the giggles!! That's a funny one. :D

  27. Looks like it probably had some "shock value". It is kind of funny...but I can't imagine a church putting that up.
