Painted Ladies

Well, I don't know if they are ladies at all, but they are wearing their beautiful autumn colours.... and these photos were taken on dull showery days. So much brighter in the sunshine.

In the bottom left corner, a sign indicating our annual Artist Studio Tour. I've been invited to participate in the Tour in 2017..... I'd better get painting!

  6. Glorious, luminous autumn leaves! I like both the brilliant reds in the first and the mixed colors in the second image. Autumn seems to have won against the persistent summer heat at last. Nearly 30 degrees C of the last week lowered to the low 20s a few days ago.

  10. Hi Shammickite - thanks for coming over to comment ... love your Painted Ladies ... I've just watched a tv programme on our Painted Ladies butterflies - perhaps you remember them from your Devon days ... I'm almost a Cornish girl ... my mother was Cornish ...

The colours of the trees are just gorgeous ... ours are dropping leaves like frenzy but it's been warm ... well I think so!

    Cheers Hilary
