8 bitter Seville oranges, 4 Meyer lemons, another sour lemon, and a sweet orange, 2 bags of sugar... chop, slice, soak, boil, stir, cool, and into the jars it goes.
Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

You are so right about commercial marmalade (and chutney). Home made is MUCH better. I hope to do better on that front this year.
ReplyDeleteMy wife loves marmalade, I don't care for it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you've jarred sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThat is the kind of condiment to have every time I visit a winery. It brightens up my mood every time
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm impressed! I bet it's delicious.
ReplyDeleteUmmm, yummm I just had a piece of toast with store bought marmalade tasty but I agree too sweet. I really like the flavor of tart and sour.

Looks delicious :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks absolutely delicious and I am quite sure it is far superior to products in the store. It seems that every day something is recalled too! A fiend of mine made a whole series of jams last year and he gave me a jar of a fig/lime jam. It seemed like an odd combination but it was really delicious.
ReplyDeleteHome made is far superior to anything that can be bought in the supermarket.
DeleteI've always wanted to try making this. Yum!
