Planning for 2010...

Ahhhh! It's all over for another year.
I don't know whether to be sad or relieved!
The planning, the meetings, the phone calls, the emails, the rehearsals, the costume sewing, the props, the makeup, the tickets, the posters, and of course, the performances!
And we'll be doing it all again in 2010.

Thursday was over threequarters full, which is great for a Thursday.
Friday was our best audience night, with Standing Room Only. More and more people arrived and our student helpers had to find more chairs, fast.
Saturday Matinee was mostly seniors and families with young children... a fairly quiet audience.... but on Saturday night we got what every show cast loves to see... a Standing Ovation!

Planning has already started for our show in 2010, and it will be the 50th year of Music Mania in our small town, so we are planning something spectacular..... stay tuned.

  1. Wow, you do a lot of shows! How many do you seat normally?

Now tell me, how did you do that trick with the words in a different color and then when I passed over it, there was a catchy phrase?

And where did you get your calendar? That's cool.

  2. I clicked on the calendar and found it!

  3. Excellent. I'm happy for you, Shammie. It looks like it was a wonderful time.

  4. I'm thinking you must have an amazing amount of energy!

  5. Strange, but amazing feeling isn't it? I had that after organizing a 5 day exhibition, and although I was sad it was over, I was happy because I was simply Dead. Tired! BUT: As soon as we got to the celebration apero, all started brainstorming with excitement, what themes we could use for the following year.

Anyway, congratulations on a sucessful and fun event. Well done!

  6. What great fun and what a wonderful thing to do for your town. While it sounds like a lot of work I think the rewards are greater than the exhaustion.

  7. Awesome. What a lot of hard work and energy to put on a show like that. Congratulations on a job well done. Great pictures and your costumes are wonderful.

  8. It looks like a great time for everybody!

  9. So glad it all went well. Judging by the dress rehearsal photos it must have been a great show. Well done.
    Sue x

  10. Glad it was such a GREAT Success! And now on to 2010....! Ahhhhh Yes! The ways of the Theatre!

  11. I love the air stewardess (or are they called flight attendants now?) outfit.

Congratulations on another year of show.

  12. Didn't you promise that we should be able also to listen to your show? :-(
