My Furry Neighbour

Meet Billy the Squilly... sunning himself on my deck railings on one of the first above freezing sunny mornings for a long time. He's enjoying the warmth of the sun through his furry coat and through the wooden railing.

The cheeky chap's hoping for a yummy handout, better luck next time, Billy, nothing to spare today.

  3. Great capture of the Billy the squilly.
I agree with you "looking at the weeds with a cuppa tea" was the best answer to my back. I did pull a few and thought oh my aching back. Doing it another day...

  6. Perhaps it's the camera angle, but that squirrel looks unnervingly large.

  7. We have one that comes to the window sill and sits patiently until we deliver food. He ( or she) has us firmly under control!

  8. He's a cute little fellow. Reminds me of my childhood. There was a squirrel who visited our porch on winter mornings back in Illinois where I grew up.

  9. It looks as if feeding is good around the neighbourhood. In the park near where my grandkid lives, everyone feeds them. There should be a diet posted on every tree.
Now my daughter and family seem to have a nest of the dear little monsters in their roof and, this being Canada, the rules for squirrel removal require that the babies be allowed to grow and leave the nest before it is removed.
And, wait for it, the removal folk are going to have to cut holes in the bedroom ceiling to get the nest out.
    Yikes.

  10. Kay of Musings: Wow! That is the fluffiest, furriest squirrel I’ve seen in a long time and I’ve seen a lot of squirrels. 😁
